FAQ
Questions people actually ask
If yours is not here, email [email protected] and it probably will be soon.
What does MASM Solutions actually do?
We build and run automation for the repeated work a small business does every week. That covers seven areas: phone and lead response, quotes and invoices, recruiting and hiring, reports and dashboards, onboarding and training systems, document and internal content generation, and custom automation for whatever is specific to how you run. We build working systems; we do not sell audits or strategy reports.
What do you not do?
No websites, no SEO, no Google Ads, no social media management, and no IT or network support. Those are real trades and there are people who do them well. This is the operations layer only.
How much does it cost?
Packages start at $500 setup plus $150 a month and run to $3,500 setup plus $650 a month, with custom builds quoted from $5,000. The tiers describe how much gets built, not which kind — three automations costs the same whether they are phone, invoicing or hiring. Every number is published on the pricing page. You should not have to sit through a call to find out what something costs.
Why is there a monthly fee?
Because the system needs someone watching it. The tools underneath change, your business changes, and things need tuning once real people start using them in ways nobody predicted. The monthly is the difference between a system that works and a system that worked in March.
Am I locked into a contract?
A 90-day initial term from go-live, so the system has long enough to be worth judging, then month to month with 30 days notice. No multi-year agreement and nothing that auto-renews for a year.
How long does it take to build?
A Starter build is usually live within a week or two of the scope being approved. Core is typically three to four weeks. Full Operations and custom builds depend on what has to be connected — the scope document gives you a date before you commit.
What do you need from me?
One thirty-minute call, access to whichever systems the build touches, and ten minutes to read the scope before I build. No standing meetings and no project manager.
How do I know if something is worth automating?
Ask who does it and how long it takes them. If the answer is a real person and a real number of hours every week or every month, it is probably worth a look. If it takes somebody twenty minutes a month, it is not worth my setup fee and I will tell you that rather than sell you a package.
Which areas do you serve?
Remotely, the continental U.S. — custom automation is built against your systems, not your office, so it works the same wherever you are. In person, all of Connecticut plus Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties in New York. If you are within driving distance, take the in-person discovery session; watching someone actually do the work tends to change what gets built.
Will texts from my business actually get delivered?
Only if the number is properly registered with the carrier ecosystem, which is part of what setup covers. Unregistered business texting gets silently dropped by US carriers — the message looks sent on your end and never arrives. Delivery still is not guaranteed, because carriers filter, but registration is the difference between most messages arriving and almost none.
Do I need to worry about texting rules?
You do, and you should. You are the sender of record, so consent from your customers is legally your responsibility under the TCPA. Every system we build has STOP handling, quiet hours and frequency limits in it, and we will not build something that texts a list you cannot show consent for. For your specific situation, talk to an attorney — we are not one.
What happens to my customers’ data?
It stays yours. We process it only to make your system work, we do not sell it, and we do not let it be used to train AI models. Retention is set by you. When an engagement ends you get your configuration and data in a usable format and our access is removed.
Can you work with the software I already use?
Usually. The goal is to connect what you already pay for rather than sell you another subscription. If something genuinely cannot be connected, you will hear that before you commit, not after.
What if I only want one piece of this?
That is exactly what Starter is for — one automation, built properly, so you can judge whether the rest is worth doing. Most people start there and add a second area once the first is paying for itself.
Who am I actually dealing with?
Michael Matica. MASM Solutions is one person — 28 years in technical engineering, including 18 at KLA-Tencor, then 15 years in insurance and financial services. You talk to the person who builds the thing, every time.

One free call. Thirty minutes.
Bring the thing that eats the most time — the report, the chasing, the intake, the onboarding, whatever it is. We work out whether it is worth automating. No pitch, no obligation, and if the answer is that you do not need me, I will say so.
